Focusrite ISA One

The Focusrite ISA ONE is an analog single-channel microphone preamplifier, ideal for engineers and demanding performers alike. ISA ONE is equipped with an independent gain control, an output for routing to an amplifier, an independent XLR output on the rear and space for an optional AD card.

At the heart of the ISA series is a Lundahl microphone preamplifier with input transformer - essentially the same circuit, based on the original ISA110, that was used for 30 years in subsequent Focusrite designs. The input transformer gives the sound a special character that cannot be truly imitated in any other way: inextricably linked to the microphone itself, the transformer input stage is ideal for use with classic microphones. But this mic preamp has something the original didn't have that makes it much more versatile: four carefully selected impedances allow you to match the microphone to the input in a variety of ways. Whether you're an artist, engineer or producer, you'll appreciate the versatility of ISA One with front-panel DI input. DI includes low/high impedance switching and amplifier output, as well as its own power supply for an optional A/D converter and a separate XLR output on the rear panel.

Optional 192 kHz stereo AD converter

You can expand your device with an optional digital card that provides the best AD performance in its class (118 dB dynamic range). Alternatively, Focusrite ISA One Digital comes standard with an AD converter.

Lundahl LL1538 input transformer

The original microphone transformer used in the original Red modules helps ensure the exceptional sound and performance of this groundbreaking design.

Illuminated VU meter with variable calibration

Focusrite ISA One features a moving coil VU meter with variable calibration adapted to analog and digital recording media, as well as two peak meters with six LEDs; inputs can be measured both before and after insertion.
