JBL PRX915
JBL PRX915 is a professional two-way 8-inch speaker. It is characterized by advanced acoustics and a versatile DSP processor.
JBL PRX915
Part of the PRX900 series of powered speakers and subwoofers, the JBL PRX915 takes professional portable PA performance to a new level with advanced acoustics, versatile DSP, unmatched power and durability, and full BLE control via the JBL Pro Connect app. The PRX900 Series is a versatile solution for professional DJs and bands, music venues, rental companies, corporate A/V providers or anyone who needs durable professional systems that deliver powerful, room-filling sound in any portable or installed scenario.
This powered two-way 8-inch loudspeaker was built entirely from the ground up to take advantage of JBL's most advanced acoustic innovations. A next-generation driver system powered by an ultra-efficient Class D amplifier delivers clarity and definition at maximum volume, with improved dispersion and smooth low-frequency extension.
The PRX915's class-leading DSP suite, accessible via the built-in color LCD display or the JBL Pro Connect app, includes a 12-band parametric EQ for system tuning and nuances of tonal control; Integrated dbx DriveRack technology includes real-time and continuous automatic feedback cancellation, soft system limiter with Soundcraft Overeasy, and speaker delay settings and presets.
The JBL Pro Connect app provides full hardware and DSP control of up to 10 speakers; integration of PRX900 series models with JBL EON ONE MK2, PRX ONE and EON700 systems and access to exclusive app features including speaker snapshots and grouping.
The PRX908 is designed to withstand the rigors of the road. Its composite cabinet features computer-modeled internal ribs that increase the overall cabinet stiffness, improving acoustic performance and durability. Like every JBL product, everything is reinforced by industry-leading testing and validation protocols and backed by a seven-year warranty
Completely new acoustic structures
From cones to housings, the PRX900 series is designed for advanced acoustic performance. Patented 1.5-inch JBL 2408H-2 compression drivers with poly-annular diaphragms and neodymium magnets deliver clean, detailed high-frequency response; innovative new tubes with upgraded JBL Image Control waveguides ensure consistent beam width and frequency dispersion. A new generation of ferrite magnet woofers deliver smooth, natural bass, while the FEA port design reduces air noise and distortion.
Class-leading DSP
The PRX900 series is fully equipped with a comprehensive DSP processor, all accessible via the JBL Pro Connect app or the onboard color LCD display. Processing includes a 12-band parametric EQ and optimized presets and snapshots. Built-in dbx DriveRack technology offers ongoing and constant automatic feedback cancellation, hard and soft system limiters, and 180 ms of speaker delay at 100-microsecond intervals for fully time-aligned systems.
Versatility and scalability
PRX900 Series speakers and subwoofers can be combined in multiple configurations to meet the requirements of both mobile and fixed installation scenarios. The speakers have dual 36 mm pole sockets and six M10 suspension points; subwoofers have sockets for M20 poles. Full-range speakers have a built-in gyroscope that automatically optimizes system tuning depending on the monitor or network setting
Durable and ready to go
PRX900 components are housed in strong, lightweight housings that maximize both acoustic performance and durability. The speaker cabinets are constructed from a polypropylene and talc blend, optimized for stiffness, with computer-modeled internal ribs designed for maximum structural integrity and minimal cabinet noise. The subwoofer housings have optimized ribs that smooth the low frequency response.
Excellent energy efficiency
Driven by highly efficient Class D amplifiers, the PRX900 series delivers acoustic clarity and definition with minimal power compression, even at maximum volume. The bridged woofer amplifier keeps current spikes away from ground and lowers harmonic crosstalk to the tweeter. High linearity inductors provide excellent power efficiency and low total harmonic distortion, while low noise and low distortion input gain stages optimize gain range and height for a variety of requirements. High-quality D/A converter and ADC ensure almost lossless sound conversion. Delivering output levels of up to 134 dB at 30 Hz, the systems effortlessly serve large performance spaces with high power and performance requirements. With a full range CMRR (Common Mode Rejection Ratio) exceeding 55 dB and THD (Total Harmonic Distortion).
The accessories you need
Your PRX900 system isn't complete without essential accessories like a universal yoke mount, speaker carry bags, and reliable, high-quality mounting poles and stands for quick, reliable setup. JBL offers durable Gator speaker bags and a variety of gas and manual adjustable stands that are perfect for the PRX900 system and provide a reliable base for your next concert, event or tour.
