The Kali Audio WS-6.2 is a studio subwoofer with two 6.5-inch woofers arranged horizontally. Occupying less than half the space of comparable subwoofers, it is ideal for stereo mix setups where space is at a premium. The Kali Audio WS-6.2 was created as a subwoofer to accompany the Kali LP and IN Series monitors, but it will also integrate well with almost any a pair of studio monitors .

Small size, huge sound

The Watts WS-6.2 is only slightly larger than an 8-inch studio monitor, making it an ideal choice for placement under a desk or in other tight spaces. The horizontally positioned woofers in the Kali Audio WS-6.2 have the same radiating area as a 10-inch woofer, but in a much smaller housing. An additional advantage is that the woofers configuration reduces mains vibrations, so the subwoofer does not roar, buzz or does not rattle, even at high SPL levels. With a maximum SPL of 120 dB, the Kali Audio Watts WS-6.2 will be more than adequate for most stereo setups, and will also perform well in small multi-channel setups. If more SPL is needed, a second Kali Audio Watts WS-6.2 can be added without taking up much space. You can also consider using a larger subwoofer from Kali Audio – the Kali Audio WS-12.

The Kali Audio Watts WS-6.2 has balanced inputs for XLR or TRS cables, as well as unbalanced RCA inputs. You can use the 80 Hz crossover if you are using a subwoofer to extend the low response of your monitors, use the LFE mode to feed the subwoofer with a dedicated LFE channel, or disable the crossover and use an external crossover for more customization. The 80 Hz crossover is intended for use with Kali studio monitors, but will work well with monitors from most popular manufacturers. When using the 80 Hz crossover, the high pass signal will be output through the XLR outputs. The Watts WS-6.2 has a footswitch socket that allows you to turn off the subwoofer, and XLR outputs send a full-range signal to studio monitors.

Like Kali Audio full-range monitors, the Watts WS-6.2 features front bass reflex to prevent noise and compression. In most bass reflex tubes, air escapes at different speeds from different points in the opening, creating noisy turbulence. This turbulence may be heard as "chuffing" or an audible sound of air coming from the monitor. This sound increases the noise floor and obscures low-frequency detail. The bass reflex of the Kali Audio Watts WS-6.2 is designed to ensure that all air leaves it at the same speed. This helps increase the speaker's low-frequency response while keeping the bass clear, tight and free of additional noise.
