Thirty years ago we began our journey to bring music to the masses through portable audio. Our goal was simple but ambitious: to design lightweight, active speakers that were not only portable, but also provided sound quality limited to bulky, heavy speakers.

A new standard in its class

Our most famous creation, the 7 ART series, has since evolved over five generations. Now we're proud to present its latest improvement: building on the legacy of its predecessors, the ART 7 MK5 further elevates the listening experience with improved drivers, lower distortion, improved DSP and new features.

The power that moves

RCF's improvements to driver design make them stronger and more powerful, allowing the amplifier to follow the evolution. With 1400W peak power, the Class D amplifier handles extreme sound pressure levels with ultra-fast attack, realistic transient response and very low heat loss. The speaker design is energy-efficient, so there is no need for a cooling fan. The amplifier is attached to a solid aluminum heat exchanger on the back of the housing, with no moving parts. The stereo crossover input circuit features a new low-distortion design and advanced safety limiter, maintaining the true character of the input signal at all levels. RCF amplifiers are designed in accordance with the EN62368-1 standard to ensure maximum safety and feature a switching power supply section combining high performance with minimum weight.

The SUB 7 Series subwoofers are configurable from the rear panel and feature a full set of commands:

- X-OVER SETTING 80 Hz/120 Hz

- REVERSE POLARIZATION

- OUTPUT SIGNAL, LINE/HIGH PASS

Bass movement control

Searching for extended bass with increased performance, RCF engineers found a way to remove the high-pass filter and replace it with a future-proof approach. Introducing BMC (Bass Motion Control), a newly advanced woofer excursion management feature. The BMC-equipped speaker handles the lowest audible frequencies without affecting woofer stability, with extended linearity and improved sound integrity. The BMC method involves creating a complete map of the woofer's dynamic behavior to generate a custom algorithm that only limits excessive excursion. This gives you complete freedom in reproducing the signal in the converter. Where high-pass filters normally protect the woofer's motion from destructive effects but change the phase behavior, the new BMC algorithm breaks the conventional rules.

Everything is ready for the trip
The subwoofer is suitable for a wide range of live sound applications. The durable cabinet made entirely of plywood is easy to move and stack due to its low weight. All are equipped with ergonomic handles with rubber grips for easy set-up and take-down. M20 threaded post mount on top allows for post mount speaker enclosures. The durable polyurea coating, powder-coated metal grille and rugged housing construction stand up to long-term use and transportation. A separate amplifier housing guarantees the efficiency and reliability of the components. Acoustically transparent sound foam pad on the inside of the grille provides protection against dust and moisture. Thanks to the front vented ports, the subwoofer can also be used in alcoves.
